Chrome steel balls are made from AISI 52100 Chrome steel. Uniformly hardened and tempered all the way through the ball to achieve maximum strength and quality. Ball hardness is controlled within the 60-67 HRC range as measured on parallel flat surfaces. Ball grades are defined numerically 3 - 2000 (3 being highest quality, 2000 is the lowest) Chrome steel balls are attracted to magnets.
