Closed End Full Complement Drawn Cup

Bearing needles are thin, long rollers that are used as the rolling element for roller bearings. Needle rollers are often used loose, held in place by a cage assembly; however, we also stock closed end full complement drawn cup bearings here at Simply Bearings. These have an outside ring that keeps the needle rollers in place, delivering an economical and compact bearing application.

HK drawn cup needle roller bearings are generally used in applications in which the housing bore cannot be utilised as a raceway for a needle roller and cage assembly and in which an economical and compact bearing arrangement is required. As already mentioned, one difference from the HK - and also TA - bearings is that these imperial sized drawn cup closed end type full complement needle roller bearings do not have a cage.

The second difference from the HK and TA series bearings is that these products have twice the number of rollers in the same space, which means they can deliver a higher load-carrying capacity. This type of arrangement is often called a 'crowded roller construction'.

These bearings have the advantage of being very easy to fit. The radial section height is low and the bearings are suitable for use with high speeds. The closed end makes these products ideal for closing the shaft end of a bearing application. This prevents people being injured by rotating shafts and protects the bearing from moisture and contamination.

Our closed end full complement drawn cup bearings are supplied by major brands including Torrington, the US firm that invented this type of bearing. Needle bearings were originally used in military aircraft; today, their highly-engineered needle bearings are used in a wide range of industrial and automotive applications.

The inside diameter of the bearings ranges from 7.94mm (5/16) to 17.46mm (11/16), while the outside diameter ranges from 12.70mm (?) to 22.23mm (7/8). There are two sizes of bearing width: 11.11mm (7/16) and 19.05mm (3/4).

There are great reductions if you buy in bulk from Simply Bearings; therefore, it is well worth getting in a few spares with your order - the more you order, the more you save.

Should you find that you have ordered the wrong item or the bearings turn out to be unsuitable, you can take advantage of our renowned 100 per cent no-quibble guarantee; in addition, our knowledgeable and helpful customer service team is always happy to answer your questions before you order.
