SNR, a brand recognised for its superior automotive, industrial and aerospace bearings, is under the management of NTN-SNR, the European division of NTN Corp.

Established in the late 1800s by Jacques Schmidt, SNR bearings have become a distinguished brand with a strong legacy of quality and reliability. Schmidt was the first to manufacture the rings and balls of the modern tempered steel bearings. During World War I, SNR opened a factory in France to meet the demands of the French military aviation industry and is recognised as the first bearing company to achieve ISO-9001 certification.
