Magneto Bearings

As the UK's market leading stockist and retailer of new and replacement engineering components, we have proudly gained a reputation for being able to provide highly specific, specialist parts at very competitive prices here at Simply Bearings. We are thrilled to be the country's one-stop shop for all things related to bearings, and our stock includes a massive array of magneto bearings.

Magneto bearings are used to facilitate the mounting of ball bearings inside small magnetos, instrumentation, gyroscopes and starter motors for generators. These components are also perfectly suited for use in vintage vehicle engines. They are generally small bearings, with bore diameters in our stock ranging from 4mm to 25mm, and they are intended for applications with high speeds and low loads. They are usually used with deep groove ball bearings, which are well-known for achieving the highest speed ratings among rolling bearings.

These components are designed with an inner groove that corresponds to deep groove ball bearings. The outer ring of the bearing features a shoulder on only one side. This shoulder is separable, along with the outer ring itself, allowing the mounting of the outer ring separately to the inner ring and bearing cage, making them particularly easy to mount. Magneto bearings are used in pairs due to the fact that they can receive axial force in one direction only, so two bearings need to be mounted against each other to permit axial location on a given shaft.

To assist you in locating the right magneto bearing for your application, try using the drop-down menu function at the top of the page. Simply specify your requirements in terms of bore diameter, external diameter and body width, and you'll be presented with the products in stock that meet your requirements.

We stock a wide variety of different sizes of magneto bearings, with external diameters ranging from 16mm to 62mm and widths from 5mm to 17mm. Once you have located a magneto bearing with the appropriate dimensions, make sure to review the technical specifications on the product page to ensure that your chosen magneto bearing will be up to the job.

We stock a variety of brands to suit every budget, but we refuse to compromise on build quality. We have absolute faith and confidence in the quality of the products we stock, and we are more than happy to offer a "no quibbles money-back guarantee. Simply return the item to us in its original condition within 90 days of purchase and we'll send you a refund - no questions asked.
