Imperial Shaft Repair Sleeves
It makes great sense to repair worn out shafts rather than replacing them, but it is frequently the case that the existing shaft is sized in imperial measurement. At Simply Bearings, we have a great range of imperial sized shaft repair sleeves for maintenance jobs involving shafts.
Imperial shaft repair sleeves are easy to fit over the surface of the existing shaft where it has become worn. You won't need any expensive equipment to fit these imperial shaft repair sleeves and the resulting repair will be "right first time", thus reducing future maintenance work.
We carry a great range of imperial sized shaft repair sleeves, and locating the size you require is simple - you can search by both sleeve width and shaft size, to quickly identify the part you need. We carry shaft sizes from between 0.469 - 0.475 inches up to 7.995 - 8.005 inches. Sleeve widths are available from 0.295 inches to 1.688 inches.
Our range includes both Sturdi and SKF products. These both offer a fast, cost-effective way to repair a shaft that has become worn, if you have a repair where an oil seal has to run (not suitable where you are repairing damage at the points where a bearing fits to a shaft).
These imperial sized shaft repair sleeves allow you to seal the shaft counterfaces without having to first dismantle or machine the equipment. Once the sleeve is in place, it can often provide superior performance to the original shaft, with better surface and sealing features. These sleeves are designed to repair those shafts that have oil seals and where the walls are thin enough to allow a seal of the same size to be used. The sleeves are made of high quality stainless steel.
