External Circlip Pliers
Circlip pliers are an essential item to have in your tool box and come in two basic styles for use with either internal or external circlips. Circlips are a type of retaining ring or fastener, sometimes known as retaining rings, snap rings or C-clips, and are flexible and open-ended.
Circlips are used where a bearing is employed to make a part pivot, spin or turn. They are commonly used in pistons, turbines and motors, and fit inside on a bore or outside on a shaft - hence the need for internal and external circlip pliers. Circlips have a variety of applications in industry and machinery and come in sizes ranging from one millimetre to over one metre.
External circlip pliers come in a variety of different lengths and tip styles, and here at Simply Bearings we have a great range from which to choose. We have 34 different models available, with our external pliers catering to circlips from 3mm to 165mm.
