FKM V-Rings
FKM V-rings are used in a variety of different applications. They fit directly onto a shaft and seal it against another surface such as a collar or cylinder. They are made up of a single moulded body and a conical lip. The V-Ring is mounted on and rotates with the shaft, with the lip providing a seal against the housing or bearing. The body is held in position by its tight grip around the shaft, which also serves to provide a seal against the shaft.
At Simply Bearings we stock a range of FKM rubber V rings - these have a flat face on the rear and are unlike oil rings in that they don't have a rigid metal shell. Being made completely of rubber means these V-rings are easy to stretch over flanges, bearings and other fittings, making installation straightforward.
FKM V-rings are durable and able to accommodate misalignment. They also retain and are resistant to greases and oils, while keeping out contaminants like liquids, grit and sand. We stock V-rings to suit shaft sizes from 2.7mm right up to 705mm, so you should have no problems finding the size you need for your application.
