We use this in a professional, industrial application. Our use includes lubricating a nylon guide block that slides up and down inside an aluminum housing. We had found that using different greases in the past had dried out and caused failure (due to increased friction), not to mention attracting dirt. So far, this PFPE seems to offer a permanent, friction free solution for our requirement. Its pricey, but its the only thing we have found that actually offers a permanent (apply once) lubrication solution and it appears to remain stable (and as applied) even after a long period of time. Also, the fact that it is 'dry' and doesn't attract dust/dirt is a huge benefit.
