DURBAL Maintenance Required Spherical-Plain Bearing - Sliding Combination Steel/Steel: These spherical bearings consist of a hardened, phosphated steel joint ball and a hardened, phosphated steel outer ring, split at two points, with oil groove and drill holes. For use with heavy shock loads, therefore is particularly suitable for the vibration range with slow, heavy movements. The spherical plain bearing has a large contact area in the joint ball area, which is why it is preferred for heavy loads. The outer ring is split in two places to accommodate the joint ball.
