Viton Rubber X Rings with 70 Shore Hardness: The four-lobed design of quad rings provides twice the sealing surface in comparison to a standard O-Ring. The double-seal action requires less compression to maintain an effective seal. This reduced compression results in less friction, longer seal life and a lower risk of twisting. Quad Rings have an advantage over standard O-rings as the parting lines are between the lobes, away from the sealing surface. This eliminates the problems of leakage that often results from a parting line’s irregular surface as found on an O-Ring. In these cases, X rings provide a better, more uniform seal. Quad Rings are designed to outperform a standard O-Ring in rotary seal applications. The four-lobed configuration creates a more stable seal avoiding spiral twisting. This allows for a narrower groove width than a standard O-Ring groove. However, it can also be used in a standard O-Ring groove. Viton rubber has a particularly wide operating temperature range ranging from - 25 deg Celsius up to + 200 Deg C (higher for short periods) and a high degree of chemical resistance. It is highly suitable for use in engines and other areas where extremes of temperature and chemical exposure are present. Material Specification: Viton Rubber (FPM), 70 Shore hardness. Benefits: Excellent sealing properties and durability, wide temp range, high resistance to many chemicals and petroleum-based fuels including petrol, diesel, LPG
