Stainless Steel Cup Point Grub Screws: Grub screws are used to fix rotating parts to shafts. Cup point grub screws have a concave tip and are the most commonly used type of screw. They are headless screws which are threaded through a hole on the rotating part and tightened until the hexagon grub screw is flush with the shaft. This ensures the strength of the fixing while leaving no external extrusion. Grub screws are a small but extremely important part of many drive mechanisms and other machinery which uses moving and rotating parts. These grub screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel. A2 stainless steel is an austenitic steel and is non-magnetic. A2 stainless steel provides corrosion and oxidation resistance. Note: These set screws are designed for pressure loads and are not suitable for tensile- or shear loads.
