EPDM rubbers are frequently used in food applications, water, steam and phosphate ester fluid applications (skydrol). They offer excellent resistance to glycol based brake fluids and are especially suitable for outdoor application and ozone, Animal and vegetable oils, strong and oxidizing chemicals. For a while now I have been using nitrile rubber orings and I could not understand why they kept giving in and breaking. So i popped on down to the trade counter as I live locally and was shown the difference between a nitrile oring and a epdm on a chemical resistance chart. Now it all makes sense. I was/am impressed at the knowledge and friendliness of your staff
