Nitrile Rubber O Rings: Probably one of the most widely used and simplest types of seal they are found everywhere from plumbing installations to the space shuttle, they are common in engines and gearboxes, garden hoses, pumps etc. They can be used as face to face seals (like a gasket) or as shaft seals and facilitate both rotary and linear movement. I bought the O rings from Simply Bearings for my old Hills Garden Sprayer which avoided having to buy an expensive Hills complete service kit from a garden centre or DIY shop which was not needed - they didn't sell O rings separately. Always try Simply Bearings first - I nearly threw my sprayer out. Delivered next day and very pleasant staff so I'm extremely happy.
